This Blog Is on the Move

I'm moving this blog to FitFig.com. The process is ongoing and the new site is still under some construction, but ready for visitors now if you want to check it out.

If you are commenting for this week's giveaway, be assured I will check comments both here and on the new site to make sure I don't miss any commenters.

Fig Gets Fit

Last week I did not stick to plan. I did about 2 days of workouts instead of 5! I was just extra busy and I'm afraid I let the exercise take a backseat. Hopefully I'll be more successful this week.

Monday.............Cardio
Tuesday.............Gabrielle Reece's Complete Pregnancy (total body)
Wednesday........Cardio & Yoga
Thursday...........Lauren Brook's Baby Bells (kettlebells)
Friday................Cardio & Yoga
Saturday............Rest or Cardio
Sunday...............Rest

How about your own plans? Feel free to share either here in the comments or over at Fit at Home.

Sunday Figaway Giveaway--Dance and Be Fit: Abs Burn

This week's giveaway is one I haven't reviewed yet. I have some notes on it but just haven't compiled them into a comprehensive review yet--perhaps I'll do that this week. As you can see I neglected the blog a bit this past week, and I also neglected to finish this review. I was busy out of the house and then when I was home I was busy geeking out with some other web stuff--experimenting with a new forum and then moving one of my blogs to Wordpress (you can see it at http://figlife.com but it's definitely a work in progress).

Anyway, the DVD I'm giving away is called Dance and Be Fit: Abs Burn starring Kimberly Miguel Mullen. This giveaway is courtesy of Acacia.

Though I haven't finished viewing (or reviewing) it, I can tell you that my first impression was that I didn't care for the instructor (sorry, Kimberly, if you happen to Google reviews of your workouts and see this). I can't even tell you why--I guess we just had a personality clash. That's just me, though; she may be just delightful to another viewer. The DVD alternates abdominal toning segments (with a Pilates flavor from what I saw of it) with dance segments. The dance part looked kind of fun and she does it shoeless which is sometimes fun if you're in the mood to go barefoot. Collage has the DVD rated as Intermediate and you can see a clip of it on their site as well.

Please comment below to enter to win the DVD. Comment on whatever you like, perhaps on your first impressions after watching the clip. You can tell me if you think I'm nuts for feeling put off by the instructor or not.
